Join exhibiting artists Aeisha Reed and Don Morrison for a hands-on introduction to abstract painting inspired by the themes of their exhibition, Afterlight.
Together, you will explore colour, composition, texture and mark-making as tools for creating expressive, non-representational paintings. Through guided exercises and demonstrations, participants will experiment with approaches to abstraction, learning how intuition, memory and observation can all become starting points for making work.
This workshop is suitable for all experience levels, whether you're completely new to painting or looking to develop an existing practice. The focus will be on exploration and play rather than technical perfection, offering a supportive environment to discover new ways of working and seeing.
All materials will be provided.
