This black and white film processing workshop is a hands-on introduction to traditional darkroom developing. All materials are provided, including chemistry, tanks, reels, and drying equipment, so you can focus entirely on bringing your film to life.
Working with your own exposed 35mm film, you will learn how to transform a latent image into a fully developed negative. We will explore core techniques such as loading film onto reels in the dark, mixing and handling chemistry, and controlling development times to shape contrast and detail.
By the end of the session, you will leave with a set of properly processed negatives and a practical understanding of the film developing workflow. After this workshop, you will be ready to continue into darkroom printing or develop your own film independently.
Please note our darkroom is very small so this workshop will have a maximum of two participants.
