Modular Synth 101 with MIZ Records

£25.00

Saturday 16th May

1-3pm

£25

Felix from Mark it Zero Records will be running this beginner-friendly workshop designed to make understanding modular synthesis simple. Starting with a classic analogue synth, we’ll break down the essential parts of a sound (oscillator, filter, envelope and amplifier) as well as how control voltage (CV) and gates/triggers are used to shape it. We’ll then rebuild that same signal path using a modular system, showing how everything connects and functions. From there, we’ll explore how modular allows you to move beyond fixed signal chains and experiment more freely. The session combines clear demonstration with guided hands-on time, giving you a chance to see, hear and try things for yourself.

No prior experience needed.
