Lucy Beckett

Lucy Beckett is a working- class photographer and artist based in South Wales. Throughout her current practise Beckett explores ideas around the self, the body, lived experience and feminism often exploring different topics through these lenses. This work culminates in artistic bodies and workshops to increase the accessibility of her work and create a connection with the community.

Self-portraiture is a particular interest of Beckett often integrated into their practise throughout the research and development of projects, often appearing in the artistic outcomes. After having studied a Masters in Photography at the Swansea College of Art their practise has further expanded on the idea of photography as a material and tool, contextualising her work by exploring the boundaries and potential of this medium even further.
