Something's not quite right, there's a voice on the wind, a creek of a door. That face looks familiar, it's just like your own. But wait... you're all alone.
Come gather round, for Bryony’s annual uncanny writing workshop. This year it uncannily falls on Samhain, the perfect day to take a closer look at the uncanny, that uneasy feeling that enchants us all.
We will look at what makes something uncanny, explore examples of perfectly uncanny writing as well as a range of other art forms in order to examine how best we can capture it ourselves. Bryony will lead you through a number of different writing exercises using interesting and creepy prompts - think spectral sounds and scratched out photographs.
No previous writing experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
